Quality & Safety

Checked while it is built

Quality is a sequence, not a final inspection. Safety is the same — it is how the work is done, not a document filed afterward.

Inspection hold points

Work is checked at defined stages — fit-up, welding, coating and final — rather than only before shipment.

Welding procedures

Welding is performed to the procedures held on file at our facility, by welders qualified against them.

Coating control

Blasting and painting happen under controlled surface-prep conditions, with coating systems applied to the specification supplied.

Field safety

Delivery and crane crews work to the same expectations on your location as they do in our yard, including site-specific orientation.

Documentation

What we can provide with an order

Documentation packages are assembled to the requirements agreed at quoting.

  • Inspection records captured at production hold points
  • Coating system details as applied
  • Material documentation as required by the purchase order
  • As-built notes covering nozzle and fitting arrangements

Concept content — Specific certifications, code stamps and safety statistics are deliberately left out of this concept. They would be added once Smith Industries confirms which apply.
